Case Study: 15-213 Teaching Assistant
The Role: Helping ~400 students learn computer systems.
I hold office hours, grade exams, and help develop course infrastructure. The core challenge is explaining abstract low-level concepts (malloc, shell labs) to students encountering them for the first time.
The Impact:
Improved recitation materials for the Malloc Lab, reducing average debugging time for students. Mentored 20+ students weekly through difficult segfaults and race conditions.
